Good morning Champions,
Here's the concluding part of our series on the attributes of love. I hope you have been following?
If you missed the last, you can check the link:

Attributes of Love
1. Doesn’t revel when others grovel:
Do you take pleasure in the sufferings and downfall of others? Are you happy when it's someone else who's failing? If yes, then, you need to check your love tank. It's running out of "love gas". Be happy when you win, but, also commiserate with the person who lost. You might just be the inspiration they need to get up.
2. Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth:
Doesn't seek to hide the truth. I have learned that no matter how bad the truth may seem, it is better told. It is like a salve. Although it might sting a little, it does more good to the individual than a lie. Remember, a lie is a lie, no matter the cloak you wear it.
3. Puts up with anything:
This is termed endurance. How quickly do you toss things aside? How quick are you to throw in your towel in a situation?
When you pass through the hard times in life, do not try to bypass the process. Grit is needed for success.
Stop looking for easy ways out and two-minute solutions. Get the experience you're supposed to acquire.
Remember, if you boycott a phase you were supposed to pass through today, life will demand it (the experience you were supposed to acquire in that phase) from you tomorrow.
4. Trusts God always:
In the face of adversity, one who truly has love turns to God for succor. No matter how his situation may seem, he knows and believes that the One he serves loves him too much to leave him stranded.
5. Always looks for the best:
With a properly conditioned heart, he reaches out for the best— best of results, best in people, the optimal version of everything.
When he gets something short of the best, he trudges on.
This attribute comes after the previous ones. This is because, while looking for the best, we must be content with what we have, not jealous and we must be patient.
6. Never looks back, But keeps going to the end:
Looking back is like thinking back on all the opportunities you missed while choosing what you chose.
One sure thing that action does is that it makes you lose focus. The opportunities you look back on are gone and may never come. And, while you are looking, you may miss another. This throws one off balance.
These are the nuggets I have on love for now. I hope you learned something in the series? What did you learn?
Do well to practise them and expect great results. Succeed!

Good 👍. You are doing well!

DeleteThanks for stopping by today!
I never really saw the endurance of love from that perspective of not giving up. Thank you really🙏
ReplyDeleteHi ABRA, I'm glad we both learnt something new. Thanks for the feedback.
DeleteI learned that love looks for the best. We need to see the best in others, encourage people to be the best version of themselves. Thanks so much for this piece
