Morning Motivation- Thursday

Good morning Successmates, These recent times have been proven to be for the tough alone. It hits us so hard sometimes that we almost topple over. The pandemic, office deadlines, traffic jam and all. How do we survive these? I have put together some little bits that might help us on our day-to-day journey. Sit back and soak in everything. Please drop your ideas in the comments box. Enjoy! There are so many things in life that are beyond our control. Rather than getting stressed out over them, focus on the things you can control such as the way you choose to react to problems.Look for the upside.  When facing major challenges, try to view them as opportunities for personal growth. If your own poor choices contributed to your current situation, reflect on them and learn from your mistakes. Learn to forgive. Accept the fact that we live in an imperfect world and that people make mistakes. Free yourself from negative energy by forgiving and moving on. Share your feelings. Express...

Morning Motivation -Wednesday

Today, we're addressing the first part of this issue— how to cope with a toxic boss. Read on. In our study, we have found that companies pump billions of money into the acquisition of managerial and leadership skills for their key players.  Shocking to say, that there's still a large number of bad bosses. One in every two employees says their boss is bad but they still stay and work in thee organization. Why? Job security! Gina's story: Gina should have smelt the coffee the minute she stepped into the interview room. One of her interviewers had made a snide remark about her behind or lack of one. That was a red flag but she didn't see it. She smiled and responded cordially. Working in the organization now (three years later), she sees that she made a huge mistake ignoring the warning signs at the beginning.  As fate would have it, she now works directly under the man who made the snide comment. She says he is a bully and a taskmaster who derives joy in picking on his s...

Morning Motivation -Tuesday

Good morning Achievers! Hope your sleep was sweet? This morning, we'll be dissecting one major enemy of our success— complacency. We'll be looking at it's roots and how to deal with it. Enjoy! Com`pla`cen`cy A  feeling  of  contented  self-satisfaction, especially when  unaware  of  upcoming trouble . Be it in business, academics, finance or any other aspect, this is a feeling that kicks in and we must contend with it, if we're going to continue succeeding. Let me explain: Most times, we become complacent just after a big victory. We feel like we have accomplished a hard task and we let ourselves loose a little. Complacency is one enemy of further success. It leaves you comfortable and satisfied with your current level, not wanting to reach for more. From the definition, we are made to see how dangerous it is for one to be complacent. It says there that it keeps you in the dark about looming trouble. The trouble you do not know about, how ...

Good morning Champions, Here's the concluding part of our series on the attributes of love. I hope you have been following? If you missed the last, you can check the link: https://chuksofficial.blogspot.com/2020/08/morning-motivation-thursday_13.html Attributes of Love 1. Doesn’t revel when others grovel : Do you take pleasure in the sufferings and downfall of others? Are you happy when it's someone else who's failing? If yes, then, you need to check your love tank. It's running out of "love gas". Be happy when you win, but, also commiserate with the person who lost. You might just be the inspiration they need to get up. 2. Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth:  Doesn't seek to hide the truth. I have learned that no matter how bad the truth may seem, it is better told. It is like a salve. Although it might sting a little, it does more good to the individual than a lie. Remember, a lie is a lie, no matter the cloak you wear it.   3. Puts up with anyth...

Morning Motivation- Thursday

Good morning! Hope your week is going fine? Today, I have some nice quotes for you.  They are: 1. "Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life--think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success." --Swami Vivekananda 2. "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." --Walt Disney 3. "Good things come to people who wait, but better things come to those who go out and get them." --Anonymous 4. "If you do what you always did, you will get what you always got." --Anonymous 5. "Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm." --Winston Churchill 6. "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending, he turned into a butterfly." --Proverb 7. "Successful entrepreneurs are givers and not takers of positive energy." --Anonymous 8. ...
